Your kid doesn't need experience. Just show up ready to learn.
No contracts and no pressure. If your kid loves it, they get 2 weeks free.
We train safely. Jiu jitsu has no punches or kicks. Younger kids learn through grappling games where no one goes hard. Older kids do some live practice, but only after they've learned the basics, and always with a coach watching. Kids are paired by age and experience.
No. Kids learn to defend themselves, and when it's right to use it. Class is about focus, discipline and taking care of your partner.
Yes. You're welcome to sit and watch the whole class. Most parents do.
That's normal, and we expect it. We'll meet you at the door, walk you through what's about to happen and introduce your kid to their coach. Most kids settle in within 5 to 10 minutes. If they'd rather just watch the first class, that's fine too.
If they're 4 or older, yes. No experience or athletic background needed. Most of our kids walked in with neither, and kids of every shape, size and energy level fit in.
We have 16 kids classes a week, most of them on weekday afternoons. Two or three a week is enough to make real progress, and once a week works too. You'll see your kid's class times when you book.
A t-shirt and shorts or sweats, and a water bottle. No shoes on the mat, so slides or crocs are easiest.
That's fine. The free class is there so you can find out first. If they join, there's no contract, and you can cancel anytime.
